Thoughts:
Great episode, very dramatic, and in a twist we see Kenny thrown into the exile. I don't remember, but I think last challenge(Gauntlet II?) members of the Douche-Bag Alliance(Derrick/Kenny/Johnny/Evan) might have gone into exile a total of once, so this is completely different. I get it though, and I get the MTV Producer angle. Those guys always win, especially when they have the numbers, but I suppose some people are tired of the same kids, the "popular", "mean", and "in-crowd" kids winning all the time. I think just by pure numbers, there's more misfits out here than in-crowders. So I think the MTV producers stacked the house with non-regular winners, so that a showdown could be had. There's new rules in the house, as so far you don't have to go home right away just because you are new.

But this has definitely thrown most of our drafting plans into the wind and we don't know what to expect. Could Kenny actually go out mid way through the game? I suppose its possible. Who would have thought the undrafted, Brandon and Syndey(as Jon mentioned unwanted minorities) would last longer than a Darrell or Sarah?

Stock Watch:
Rising:
Kenny - Kenny might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but it is becoming evident that his team is the strongest consistently. Kenny is definitely strong, but I think the gap between Laurel and the rest of the girls might be too wide and catapults this team into the forefront. Evelyn is strong and might match-up well but Luke is 120lbs. It seems the exile weights are not adjusted for body size, and thus the advatange goes to the bigger and taller players. Take Laurel vs Evelyn, each with 30lbs on their back and you can see where the advantage lies. I guess that 6'3 frame is coming in handy. Wes/Mandi might have politics on their side(or just a general desire of ppl to not see Kenny win again) but they are not competing on the same level as the self-proclaimed, "Kings of Kings" and 1 of 2 "Greatest Champions of All Time."

Landon - I was thinking he might be done early, but a solid showing from team anchor Carley gave them a suprise and dominating win. Given that it was a water challenge, perhaps being an anchor is good! And in an even bigger twist, Landon departs from his good guy mantra(throw in weakest team) and teams up with Wes. As Landon said so himself, this is the first time he's ever officially joined an Alliance. Perhaps he is still smarting from his previous challenge, the Duel II, where he was thrown into the Duel/Exile at the last pre-money round, by Brad, Mark, and Evan, despite being the strongest player for the majority of the time. Fair only gets you so far, as this game is shady and cut-throat, and exciting for us viewers at home!! I would compare Landon being recruited by Team Wes, as tantamount in magnitude to say a Notre Dame being recruited by the Big Ten. You can see why it would make sense, but you still hope inside that Landon would be the good guy and remain independent. Let's see if the Landon-Wes Alliance will survive longer Kenny-Wes.

CJ - Once again, CJ survives, proving resilience beyond his last pick status. Watching him in the competition, as well as his audience comments, it appears that he purposely threw his end of the challenge. His strategy could be to avoid sticking out as a strong competitor and blend into the middle. Smart guy for an almost-kicker. I see CJ as a rising dark horse. CJ/Syndey doesn't look weak, and there's a new world order in the house beyond pick on the rookies.

Jenn - She's being quiet so far, but I see her interest and single-mindedness in winning. She definitely has the look and voice of a top tier female, and the preview shows her getting into some real drama coming up soon. Let's hope she doesn't get thrown off the challenge...knock on wood.

Falling:
Wes - Why do I put Wes here, despite his clever machinations(some might say manipulations) and maneuvering into a decidely advantageous position for the game? Well so far, the #2 pick has netted only 2 points, and secondly, through the first few episodes, it has become evident that Wes is mostly bark, and thrives on a reputation as being a strong competitor, vs actually being a strong competitor. I saw him matched up with Kenny directly in a 1on1 wrestling match, which ended in Kenny putting Wes into a sleeper hold and Wes getting cut on his face. I saw the ex-swimmer last about < 30s under water, while comparatively ex-swimmer Sarah almost last a whole minute...and then he blames Mandi for it. Furthermore, I see Wes getting constantly drunk in the episodes, and that takes a toll on your body, especially for the grueling 1-2hr physically exerting exiles. Mandi might pretty, she might be thin, but she doesn't look very strong at all. I think Wes still has a good chance of making it to the finals, but unless he stabs out all the stronger competitors early, I don't see him winning the whole thing. But then again, this guy is snake when it comes to wheeling and dealing, so maybe he can pull it off. He did win before on sheer tenacity, so we'll see how it turns out.

Danny - This guy looks more and more stressed as the game continues. I see him as falling into the Brad type mold, where he's getting older and maybe desperate for the money? Except he doesn't have the skills(competition, or politics) to really get that far, and is gradually becoming aware that his friendship with Wes doesn't really amount to much in the game. He's not in the inner-circle of Wes' Alliance and his suggestions and comments are constantly overruled. Let's see how long he goes before he snaps...hopefully dramatically!

Katelynn - I feel like she's got to be a target soon, just because she doesn't really mesh or bond well with the rest of the house members. I felt she wouldn't have been the earliest target insofar as ppl might not have wanted to be seen as picking on her. But that time passed and I think she's up in conversations for the next sacrifical lamb, as her team looks decently strong(is it a 1.8 male team?) and makes others around the house feel uncomfortable. I don't think she's getting any hook up points any time soon.

I feel a little bit like Kenny right now. I came off the Ruins a winner, but right now not being in the number one spot after utter domination previously, I am a bit concerned. I still have faith though and I'm convinced my team will take me far.
