Standings: WK1-16

With a three-peat, Yasmine takes War of the Worlds — after winning Vendettas and Final Reckoning — to once again assert her championship pedigree. The result was actually in on doubt at the start of the finale episodes as Yasmine had already extended her lead very far by then. A WotW win by Turbo just gave her another lap around the field as she scored 159 points, an astounding 51 more points than her next closest competitor.

Frankly, we’re sick of it! Haha. Her dominant rookies, Turbo and Ninja, put up fifty points each, and add in Cara Maria, and three of Yasmine’s five team members placed in the top five players for the season. (Surprisingly, George had Georgia and Paulie, who were both in the top six). Ultimately the race was over pretty early on as most of Yasmine’s competitors dropped out pretty early and her eight title was an easy walk in the park. At least we can help make Yasmine’s bio look impressive, congrats on a record breaking three-peat!

I kept very careful stats this year, and remember we gave +2 for weekly challenge wins and elimination wins. Overall there were 668 total points doled out this season and the breakdown goes like this:

War of the Worlds: Rosters

A Fresh Meat-ish season after the Challenge "revamp" and we're lucky enough to add a fresh meat ourselves! Longtime MTV Real World watcher and fellow fantasy fanatic Roger joins us as we now grow to seven owners! It's gonna be a very exciting new season of the Challenge!

War of the Worlds: Rules

We're not sure what we'll do this season for rules, so we'll have to play it by ear as usual as the game changes... We are going to change Challenge and Survival win to +2 points from just +1, to see what that does to the scoring. Note we have added a seventh owner this year!

DRAFT

• Seven team owners will each select five players each, in a snake style draft.
• Leftovers are picked up by the team(s) that loses their first players, a week after their first contestants are eliminated.
• New rule: Altho due to expected contestants, one contestant will be used for both teams #6 and #7, so that everyone gets five players instead of having 6+ leftovers.

SCORING and POINTS
Weekly challenges, bonus points, almost all the same stuff as last year, excepting any rule changes we can't anticipate.

Competition Points (awarded per episode)

• Weekly (+1): Awarded for each week a player stays on the show
• Challenge (+2): Awarded for winning weekly challenge (If team game, each individual on the winning team receives a point)
• Elimination (+1): Awarded for being tossed into an elimination challenge
• Survival (+2): Awarded for winning the elimination challenge 
• Redemption Win (+1): Awarded for winning the Redemption challenge (Note: Exile participants are ineligible for Weekly Competition Points and Bonus Points)

Bonus Points (awarded per episode and per instance)

• Kissing (+2): Romantic, carnal, or via dare, not for congratulatory or "hello" pecks
• Sex (+2): Must be shown on-camera, or acknowledged by both parties (with no doubt)
• Hookup Bonus (+1): Extra point for owning both contestants who either kissed or had sex together. (Only awarded once per couple per episode)
• Fight (+2): Must be a physical fight, including some intent to do harm. (Edit 1/2018: Fights, as determined last season, can be one-sided, like if one person attacks the other, but no fight back, that's just Fight/Attack points for the antagonizer.)
• Tirade (+2): Key phrase is a "crazy ass tirade," including throwing or breaking things
• Medical (+2): Awarded for going to the hospital, or if player needs treatment from a medical professional
• Puke (+2): Awarded for throwing up from drinking, exhaustion, food poisoning, etc. (Has to be shown on camera, not just gagging sounds)
• Crying (+2): Must be a very clear case of crying, not just red face, puffy eyes, watery eyes, but actual real tears
• Booted (+3): Getting booted off the show by producers, be it physical altercation, safety reasons, injuries, etc. Does not apply if the person chooses to leave the show voluntarily aka quits
• Blurcle (+1): Having a body part blurcled (Only awarded once per episode, and for nudity versus logo blocking out, or flicking someone off, etc.)
• Clue (+1): Awarded for reading the clue from TJ Lavin

Finals Points (awarded once at end of season)

• Finals (+5): Awarded to everyone who makes the finals
• Winner: (+7): Awarded to the overall winners (or to all members of the winning team)

Any subjective calls will be cleared up by voting. See old version of rules for examples of past subjective rulings.

ARBITRATION DETAILS
Majority wins the vote-offs (which must be done before the next episode). If there are five owners voting, that should be easy. However, if two separate owners have to abstain because it's their contestants involved, then it's four voters. Ideally a 3-1 majority would take it but if there is a tie, then no points are rewarded. Try to be objective if you can, when voting. And we can cite previous precedent or whatever in our arguments. No bribing though!
