It's been a long time

Sadly our DVR didn't record the Wes getting booted episode but I'm all caught up now and ready to comment. You might ask why I don't just watch it online but MTV is being weird and the back episodes are not available. I smell conspiracy about some editing error or something. Either way, watching the demise of Weselyn was painful and wonderful at the same time. I know we began the season hating Kenny's guts after the backstab on Darrell (and Cara Maria) but I have to say that Kenny's masterful tactics have really won me over. Still, if this is indeed the pre-finale, I want Landon and Carley to win because they've definitely gone through the most. I mean, sure I have Landon on my team but I'm not biased just because of this. Carley has proven to be durable, a winner, and even staved off death in their Exile win. I don't know how Carley was physically able to complete that insane Exile with her eyes rolling all up in her head but she did it so I think she's ready to go for gold. And I loved how Jillian commented about Carley busting through that wooden door during the last challenge!

Speaking of Jillian, what a brilliant tactic against Laurel! Just wilt and pity crawl your way to the end, thus shaving a few seconds/minutes/years off of your eventual time, which proved to be the difference between them going into the Exile versus Jenn and Noor. I felt so terrible for Jenn because they really did screw themselves in multiple ways through the obstacle challenge by going last when it was dark, and poor asthmatic Noor is not ready for an immediate Exile (Did you notice his leap through the wall? He cleared the top part!). I fear we've seen the last of the wonderful Jenn/Noor combo, even against the weakness that is Ryan and Theresa. Ryan was so gung ho and alpha for the first ten minutes of the obstacle challenge, and I was so impressed with his effort and cheering ability, but then he crumbled and was totally tired by the end. I mean, Theresa was like "Don't push on my guy!"

I think Laurel should be cast as the new Wonder Woman. I think I've said this before. Maybe not. Either way, if they were thinking of Rachel Bilson or whatever useless Hollywood chicklet they're going to use, I say we start a Tumblr right now for Laurel as Wonder Woman. She'd be so perfect.

And to wrap up, I'm feeling conflicted about my thoughts on Eve, who will cleary be back next season. She's kind of great to have around because everyone fears her but she really didn't prove anything this season, at least from a competitive standpoint. Did Luke really hold her back or is Eve just slightly overrated? And after her four year old blowup and dismissal by TJ, I kind of feel like Eve is a terrible person. Then again, don't we want that sort of live or die competitiveness in our reality tv stars? For now I'll stay on the "I love Eve" wagon but it's hard to justify after her seeing her lose her shit on Luke.

Wait, what am I saying. Luke totally lost it for her and his laid back druggy laced attitude is not something I want to support. Forget it, Eve was totally justified in blasting him and I hope she comes back next season to compete against Laurel.

Now that I'm back, I'm not ready for it to end...
