I didn't expect much drafting Ty in Round 4 but watching him wimp out at the end there was absolutely pathetic. Technically Ty gave me seven points -- the same amount as Brad so far -- but he's been hard to stomach. From his random tirades against everyone, and especially toward Emily, to his uselessness at Challenges, Ty has been annoying all around. Ty may look like an athlete, and maybe he's a personal trainer, but as if often said in the NFL, "That's why they play the game!"
In theory Ty should be a dominant player but he's not particularly agile, lacks speed, and only looks strong versus being actually strong. I term this "gym athlete." Yeah I was impressed with his destruction of Brandon during the first round, but truth be told, I didn't even want Ty to win. When he collapsed and didn't even try getting back up, I lost all respect for him. I'd hesitate to call him the worst Challenge guy of all time, but honestly, who has more consistently cost his team Challenge wins and didn't even have the heart to try preventing himself from elimination?
In addition, It's hard to cheer for someone when he's been so mean to his ex. Especially when he admits he wants to go around pushing people's buttons. I wonder if Ty will come back. I'm betting he will as he's a clear drama king/queen.
Johnny Bananas must be feeling so stupid for backing Ty this whole time. What a terrible call. In this clip, Ty is so spent from the Stampede Challenge that Johnny is over there pouring water into his mouth. Ty can barely drink. Foreshadowing!
It's looking like the Red Team is going strong. They have a whopping nine players to five and six for the other teams. I would have sworm that the Red Team was the weakest one heading into the competition. I can't figure out the key to their success, aside from Camila and Brandon consistently kicking ass in the Gulag. Actually, that's about it. Once they lose Brandon and Camila, I can see them starting to be eliminated quickly as Tyler, Chet, and Dunbar are near useless. Then again, imagine if Chet leaves and CT subs in. That would make Red the heavy favorites for the crown right? I hope Red sends Paula and Tyler into the Gulag next. Brandon and Camila sure deserve a break.
- I wonder how they even out some of the Challenges. Like I wasn't sure how Surf's Up was being scored if there were uneven teams. The team with the best time wins? This was by far the funnest Challnege yet, and even I, afraid of heights, would have wanted to try jumping on that board thing and cruising into a beautiful belly flop.
- They should show more stuff that the cast does to amuse themselves, such as this thrilling clip of "Who Am I: Cast Edition." They also did a celebrity edition but this one is far better. I mean, how else would we know that Dunbar does retarded pushups?
- Tyler talks about his Michelle Kwan obsession. Love it.
