Final Standings: Spies, Lies, Allies

It was back-to-back for our favorite Uncle CT, and also a huge debut for our Rookie of the Year Sachi, as she headed into the final episode with a commanding forty point plus lead. Roger had Nelson and Devin up against Sachi's Emy and Kyle, but short of a miracle, Sachi was taking home the crown.

With such a veteran heavy season, most of our top picks did well -- Kaycee, CT, Tori, Kyle, Devin, Nany were the first six of seven picks -- but it was the rookie Emy that powered the season with her multiple elimination wins, her many cries, and her shout outs to her grandmother and Romania. Sachi's team ended up having Emy and Kyle in the top five scorers, and it could've been possibly more, with Ashely DQing midway through the season.

For third place, Kim put up a good fight but losing Emanuel hurt her in the end, and she finished just a handful of points behind Roger. A tier below was George and Yasmine, who rode Tori and Kaycee as far as they could, respectively. Despite leading the season early, Jon flamed out and dropped to the bottom of the standings, joining Susan and Victor there.

We hope next season won't be as veteran dominated and we hope Emy can be allowed to come back. For now, congrats to our first time owner, our rookie of the year and winner of Spies, Lies, Allies: Sachi!

  1. Sachi (193)
  2. Roger (145)
  3. Kim (140)
  4. George (133)
  5. Yasmine (130)
  6. Jon (120)
  7. Susan (104)
  8. Victor (96)

Spies, Lies, Allies (SLA): Rules

Take a look at the scoring below. Blue is scoring that changed.

DRAFT
  • Eight team owners will each select four players each, in a snake style draft.
  • There are two (or more) leftovers, to be selected by whichever owner loses their players first, in reverse draft order.

Scoring Rules
Since there's no tribunal, we are just giving the weekly challenge winners +2 points and leaving it at that.
COMPETITION Points (awarded per episode)

  • Weekly (+1): Awarded for each episode a player stays on the show.
  • Challenge (+2): Awarded for winning weekly challenge. If team game, each individual on the winning team receives the points.
  • Elimination (+4): Awarded for being tossed into an elimination challenge.
  • Survival (+4): Awarded for winning the elimination challenge.
BONUS Points (awarded once per episode max)

  • Crying (+2): A clear case of crying, has to include visible tears.
  • Kissing (+2): Awarded for romantic kisses and not for congratulatory pecks.
  • Sex (+4): Must be shown on-camera, or acknowledged by both parties, with no doubts.
  • Medical (+4): If a player needs treatment from an on-screen medical professional, or if they go to a hospital.
  • Puke (+4): Throwing up from drinking, exhaustion, food poisoning, etc. Has to be on-screen, and not just gagging from almost throwing up.
  • Fight / Tirade (+6): For fights, it must be physical, with an intent to do harm. One-sided fights can be possible if there's clearly just one antagonizer. A tirade must be crazy-level, up to and including throwing or breaking things.
  • Booted (+6): Getting kicked off the show by producers, be it for physical altercation, safety reasons, injuries, etc. Also applies if the person quits the show.

Finals Points (awarded once at end of season)

  • Finals (+5): Awarded to everyone who makes the finals.
  • Winner (+10): Awarded to the overall winner or winners.
ARBITRATION DETAILS
Majority wins on voting for questions about scoring. Broadly speaking, we like to lean toward more scoring, especially for drama. The more points the more fun!

Final Standings: All Stars

Well, a month-and-a-half after All Stars ended, here are the scores! Some of us just caught up last week… some of us STILL aren’t caught up. Next season we better get back on track and get the scoring and watching up to speed. Are we slowing down in our old age? Heavens no! Right?

Overall, it was a very weird season with twelve “finalists” — out of twenty-two total contestants — and very low drama all around. It was certainly exciting to see so many familiar faces and refreshing to see everyone be (mostly) nice to each other. Nearly all of the bonus points came from puking from the eating portions of the show. There was only one on-screen kiss — between Laterrian and Aneesa — and just one person who got booted/quit.

Still, this was a great season, as watching people similarly aged to us struggle — and conquer — through challenges was a thrill. I found myself enjoying All Stars more than Double Agents, which was concurrently airing. What did you guys think?

And now, no more beating around the bush…. who won?!

Coming in last place, it was George, who saw Ace eliminated episode one — replaced by Beth on her roster — and then Teck two episodes later. Kim fare a little better, having KellyAnne reach the finals, but with Arissa quitting and Syrus limping out of his elimination, Kim’s team couldn’t reach further up than second-to-last.

Our recent Double Agents champion, Roger, came in fifth place, with Nehemiah and Jisela making their mark points-wise but Derrick being surprisingly quiet all season long. While Derrick did make the finals — I mean, who didn’t? — he and Jisela were the first ones out after the first water leg of TJ’s Final.

Susan actually had two contestants make the finals too, in Mark and Big Easy, but Trishelle getting eliminated back in EP2 really hurt her potential to get higher in our standings. Or should I say “Jon’s Standings?!”

That leaves three finalists for this nine-episode. Would it be Yasmine, eight-time winner and the greatest fantasy Challenge player in history? Or would it be Jon, our laggy commissioner and blogger? Perhaps it would be Victor, who has now promised to never leave mid-draft again because auto-draft is not a thing. Drumroll please…!!!

  1. Jon (86)
  2. Victor (84)
  3. Yasmine (75)
  4. Susan (69)
  5. Roger (64)
  6. Kim (55)
  7. George (41)

In the end, it was Jon who takes the All Stars title, with a very narrow two point win over Victor. Yes, it was Aneesa’s kiss, or her many many tears, that took Jon to the title. Shockingly, Jonna performed as well as Ruthie all season, and then the MVP for Jon’s season was the much maligned Aneesa, who tied with Kendal for top points scored this season.

For Victor, losing Kendal was a huge blow, even if Alton and Jemmye did their best to capture another championship for him. Yasmine’s late burst to third place, powered by Yes’ win and both he and Darrell’s top-two finish were exciting but also not quite enough to take her to another win.

Serious question: Should Aneesa start being valued as a top player? She cries, she makes out, she never gets eliminated without a whole lot of emotional upheaval. Should MTV be advertising Aneesa more?!

  1. Aneesa / Kendal (34)
  2. Eric(32)
  3. KellyAnne / Yes (30)
  4. Mark / Darrell (30)
  5. Ruthie / Jonna / Nehemiah / Jemmye (26)

Overall, this was Jon’s fourth title — Rivals III, War of the Worlds 2, Total Madness, All Stars — and three wins in the past four seasons. He now surpasses HT for second all-time in championships, and is now close on the heels of Yasmine…. okay not really. But we must dream right?! Congrats to Jon!

All-Stars: WK1-3

And here we are, All-Stars is underway and we love the show! Everyone being our age-ish and being over the hill has been awesome. We added "+2 for reference to age (in a detrimental way)" but so far we haven't even come close to scoring that yet. So we're eliminating that.

We are adding +2 for the two winners of a group challenge, as TJ seems to have added "Immunity" and "Life Saver" as roles. If it's an individual game though -- as it was in EP02 -- there will be on extra +2 for the weekly challenge winners. Got it?

  • George (31)
  • Roger (31)
  • Victor (25)
  • Yasmine (19)
  • Susan (17)
  • Jon (15)
  • Kim (15)

Final Standings: Double Agents

Well well, in Roger's fourth season -- after joining us fro War of the Worlds 1, War of the Worlds 2, and Total Madness - Roger captures his first fantasy title with a dominating performance that had the victory all sewn up before the finale even started.

  • Roger (194)
  • Susan (181)
  • Kim (176)
  • Victor (153)
  • George (127)
  • Yasmine (107)
  • Jon (81)

Led by show finalists Leroy and Cory, Roger rose up the standings mid-season and didn't really relinquish their lead the rest of the way -- the rest of his foursome included Big T and Theresa. For awhile, it looked like Victor's all-veteran auto-drafted team would contend for the Double Agents title but when Kyle left right before the final, that spelled the end for Victor as he left early and finished an eventual fourth place.

Second place Susan gave Roger a good run, but for her to climb into first place would've required either Nany and Fessy winning outright...and we all know what happened to Fessy. Still, getting +6 points for Fessy DQ-ing was pretty hilarious, just like Fessy's weak ass effort. Everyone hates Fessy!

Slightly behind Susan in the standings was Kim, who did have Amber B and Kam in the final, but that wasn't quite enough to finish in the top two for our fantasy standings. George and Yasmine both dragged near the bottom of the standings most of the season, and the less said about Jon's terrible Tori and Lolo led season the better.

In the end, we're all victors because CT and Amber B totally deserved to win and they took out everyone who underestimated them. Personally, I'm a huge fan of Amber B now and will cheering her on next season!

Congrats Roger on a fantastic Double Agents season and his first win! (Which actually ties him for total solo victories with Susan, George, and Kim.)

Scores: WK12-18

Welp, these weekly scoring updates are going terrible! We may have to move to quicker recaps! Anyhow, we've had quite a few weeks go by and a new leader in the clubhouse! Behind the power duo of Leroy and Cory, Roger is taking a possibly insurmountable lead into the final episode.

  • Roger (192 pts)
  • Susan (172)
  • Kim (160)
  • Victor (153)
  • George (114)
  • Yasmine (99)
  • Jon (81)

The good news is that Susan has an outside chance of a miracle with Fessy and Nany, but that would take a lot of bonus points, since Leroy and Nany are on the same team.

Scores: WK4-7

Due to sheer laziness and incompetence, the scoring for WK4-7 will be condensed on the spreadsheet... We've lost quite a few players along the way and even had a player back (and gone again), so this scoring update will be quite interesting! We said goodbye to Nelson, Liv, Natalie, Tori, Lio, Ashley, and Jay in those four episodes, with man of them going home semi-involuntarily. Speaking of leaving early...

In a fun twist, or perhaps a sign that karma doesn’t come around… our current standings leader after seven weeks is Victor! The same Victor who left our draft and then was saddled with a slew of castoff veterans. “No auto-draft!?” he complained, while we somehow gifted him a contending team. Whoops! Could it be that Victor not the victor is headed for his third Challenge title — which would be the first one since 2013 and Rivals II. Let's take a look at the full standings!

  • Victor (79)
  • Susan (74)
  • Roger (64)
  • Yasmine (56)
  • George (48)
  • Kim (44)
  • Jon (42)

As it currently stands, Victor is looking pretty with Devin, Josh, and Kyle all still left. Ashley and Liv are gone, but Re-Ashley made an impact as she racked up additional elimination round points from her return.

In current second place, we have Susan following closely behind, due to Aneesa dominating the season so far, and Fessy and Nany still alive as well. Susan lost Nelson a few episodes ago but is neck-and-neck with Victor for the top spot.

Our dark horse, Roger, still has all four of his players, with Leroy coming up huge last week, and then Theresa and Big T also pulling their weight. If Cory can get into some action, Roger’s team could climb the standings quickly.

George and Kim both still have three players left, with quitters Natalie (George) and Lio (Kim) having said “good bye.” George still has CT, Amber M, and Nam on-board, while Kim has Killer Kam power, and the quiet mouse that are Darrell and Amber B.

And then there’s Yasmine and Jon, who are likely already out of contention — although Yasmine is currently in fourth place. Yasmine is down to Kaycee and Mechie because Wes and Nicole are gone, and defending champion Jon has lost Jay and Tori, with just Lolo and Gabby still around.

  • Top scorers for the season so far are: Aneesa (33), Leroy (25), Devin (24), Kyle (23), Fessy (21)
  • List of people who’ve done nothing but show up: Amber B, Darrell, Josh, Nam.
  • This is so lame but we have had zero kissing or sex points so far this season. Zero! There's been one puke, three medical instances, and four boots...and not one romantic kiss! B o r i n g...
  • Overall, we still have twenty contestants to go, with ten already eliminated or sent home. With six of the ten Gold Skulls already gone, how many more episodes do we have left?!
