Odd and Ends

While doing a little Internet cruising, I came across this gem of an article, "Why MTV's The Challenge Is the Best Serialized Show on TV."

"And while the show is still mostly about people whining and punching one another, it's also become a space for interesting stories—like, real stories about people's lives—to play out over an extended period of time in a way that's pretty uncommon for reality television as we know it."
Best Challenge Elimination Rounds (2012)
And somehow I got sucked into watching Youtube episodes of The Gauntlet. Look at some of those people. Theo, Laterrian, Elka, a young Veronica! I don't even recall who Sarah Greyson was but apparently she won five Gauntlets that season. Does anyone else recall this? She beat out David from New Orleans, celibate Matt, Trishelle, a grown up Back to New York Rachel, and Irulan. Epic!

The Right Reasons Podcast: Challenge Champion Wes Bergmann
Wes' real name is "Weston?!" Also, here is an article about his company, BetaBloxx

Brad Farmer's Insurance page, from this article "Do the Stars of MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ Have Real Jobs?" Also, Tyler used to work with the Boston Celtics! "Provided Prenatal/Postpartum training for the players' wives. Additionally, worked with the families and players on nutrition, fitness and injury prevention." Tyler might know Paul Pierce and KG!

The Casting Room: Kenny Santucci

And finally, a look at our Fantasizer scores. Using the Grantland scoring format, Yasmine would have won with 385 points, overtaking HT during the final episode. Unfortunately for our hero, Jon would have been in last regardless of the scoring format. If he doesn't win one of these seasons soon, he could be shamed for life... (Note: Victor's team is Team VDUB, I just registered him under my account.)

Oh - Sarah Greyson. I remember feeling so bad for her as she kept getting thrown into all the eliminations. I probably felt more bad for her than any other person on the Challenges. She seemed so cool and yet the other castmates didn't like her and thought she was weak. Oh, a flood of memories are coming back to me as a result of this post. I have been watching these Challenges for way too long!

My main regret is that I missed out on some in the middle years! That's why I think I'm losing! Ha. From what I can tell, Sarah seems super cool, but everyone thought she was just an outsider. Lame!
