Standings: Final Standings Rivals III

  • Jon +23 (90)
  • Susan +29 (81)
  • Yasmine +7 (80)
  • George +7 (74)
  • Victor +0 (57)
  • Kim +0 (31)

Finally, after almost seven years, and eleven seasons, of playing this game, one of the Yang twins has taken the title! I couldn't have done it without George, but let's just say I'll take Bananas' lead and choose to NOT share the prize money! Haha. Oh right, we stopped giving out prizes years ago, and now we're just playing for pride.

But man, how sweet it feels to finally win! And with old favorite Sarah leading the way, Jon's victory was not 100% assured heading into the final but also not nail bitingly close. Although, not having the duo of Nicole and Dario make the finals made for an intriguing finale. (Who knew Cheyenne and Devin's luck would hold all the way through to the final three. Better luck than skill right?)

With Sarah's demolishing cry post-backstab, Jon finally wins a long coveted MTV Challenge title! Does this mean he'll retire on top? Or will he go for a back-to-back win, to join the ranks of past champions? Or will this open the door for George to win one next season?

And in a bit of a surprise, defending champ Susan vaulted up to a second place finish -- one above Yasmine -- with a huge last two weeks, powered by Bananas' win and Cheyenne's crying, puking, and top three showing. As the only team with two contestants in the finals, Susan racked up a ginormous +29 over EP13/14 to make up a ton of ground and pass Yasmine.

As for our multi-champ, it looked like Yasmine had a chance for the title but Vince wasn't up to doing anything in the bonus department, and we don't give points for second place, so Yasmine faded to only a third place finish in Rivals III.
